Medieval World

I’ve been to many places where the Medieval World is still evident (basically most of Europe is like that, honestly). I’m a sucker for a good medieval building. Romanesque, love! Gothic, even more love! Medieval Tuscan, be still my heart!

Since I travel a lot in Europe and see wonderful bits of the Medieval World, I thought a nice listing of posts with ties to the Medieval World was in order.

What is more medieval than a castle?

The time frame for this is a bit tricky to nail down. Medieval England lasted longer than medieval Italy. The dates range from the 5th century to the 16th. The category for these posts is mostly determined by architecture styles. Renaissance architecture (which I’m categorizing as Early Modern Period) was built much earlier in Italy than in England. So, in short, if a post references a medieval architectural style or art or related to medieval history, it’s going to be listed here. Expect a lot of castles.

Sorry for the confusion.
